(notes - Wheels, Well I Heard, In Birmingham, Muscle Shoals)
[Verse]
Big wheels keep on turning
Carrying me home to see my kin
Singing songs about the southland
I'm missing old mammie once again
And I think it's a sin, yes
[Riff]
Well I heard Mr. Young sing about her (oo, oo, oo)
Well I heard old Neil put it down
Well I hope Neil Young will remember
A southern man don't need him around anyhow
[Chorus]
Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet Home Alabama
Lord, I'm coming home to you
[Solo 1]
In Birmingham they loved the governor (oo, oo, oo F to C bit)
Now we all did what we could do
Now Watergate does not bother me
Does your conscience bother you?
Tell the truth
[Chorus]
Here I come Alabama
[Solo - Alabam ah, ah, ah]
[Riff]
[Verse]
Now Muscle Shoals has got the Swampers (oo, oo, oo)
And they've been known to pick a song or two (yes, they do)
Lord they give me oh so much
They pick me up when I'm feeling blue
Now how about you?
[Chorus] F to C bit at end
[Chorus]
